The hockey season is well on it's way, and UCT has 14 teams competing externally.
Both the Mens 1sts and 2nds are playing in the Mens Grand Challenge. Maties 1st are currently topping the log with 19 points and UCT 1st are at number three with 14 points. Neither team has lost a game this season, and drew 2-2 to each other last month - the only game Maties haven't won.
UCT Mens 2nd are in sixth place on the log with 9 points, with the Maties 2nd team (Victorians) just behind in eighth place with 8 points. There are 12 teams competing in the league.
Our 1st and 2nd Ladies teams are both competing in the Ladies Grand Challenge with our 1st team sitting third on the log with 14 points having won four out of their five games.
Both 1st Teams take on Central this Friday 20 May with the Ladies game starting at 19h00 followed by the Men at 20h30 at the UCT Astro. The 2nd Teams play on Saturday 21 May also at the UCT Astro with the Ladies 2nds taking on Conberg at 13h30 and the Mens 2nds versus CPUT at 16h30.
