Not only did the UCT Mens First Team Hockey take on Maties on Tuesday night (26 April) but they also had some epic winter weather to fight against. Rain poured down, the wind blew and still our UCT warriors raged on.
The battle between the two arch rivals ended in a 2-2 draw - with maybe Mother Nature being the real winner of the evening.
It was however great to see the number of UCT (and a few Maties) fans who braved the storm and came to support their teams. Also really cool to have bumped into some of the first team rugby and soccer players supporting their hockey counterparts. Guess not even Mother Nature can win against our indomitable blue and white love.
