UCT bag 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in this year’s South African National Fencing Championships held in Bloemfontein at the University of the Free-State. Slightly disappointing after last year’s medal haul, but all 4 fencers made the quarter finals. UCT did not send full teams due to exams.

Jacques Viljoen - Gold, men’s foil.
Giselle Vicatos - Silver, women’s foil. Bronze, women’s epee.
Michael malahe - 5th place, men’s epee.
Skye Pym-Siljuer - 6th place men’s foil
